We will explain how we combine EHR data and qualitative research to identify and understand adverse events and quality of care during pediatric dental sedation. We will also describe the development and implementation of interventions targeting the pediatric dental sedation experience for the patient and their family.

• Explain how we captured and used quality and safety issues data from dental health records.
• Describe the quality and safety issues related to pediatric dental sedation.
• Recognize how the information and knowledge gained were used to improve patients' experience and quality of care.
