Sores & Bumps 101

This 3 hour lecture will use real patients that can walk at any time and at any pediatric dental practice in the country with issues unrelated with teeth. Issues such as change in the color of the oral mucosa or gums, small sores in the lower lip, well defined patches on the dorm of the tongue, generalized sore gums, bad taste, halitosis, bumps in the floor of the mouth, etc. Please, come to this Sunday morning lecture with a lot of energy and your mobile device to participate in questions developed for each patient. The lecture is a practical lecture and will cover common issues that the pediatric dentist will face in a busy practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to establish a differential diagnosis for the most common soft tissue issues that can present in the oral cavity of children
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss the basis for the teratment of the most common soft tissue issues that can present in the oral cavity of children
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the reasons and criteria for referral of children with soft tissues issues in the oral cavity
