Sedation in the Dental Office for the Pediatric Patient

This seminar will quickly review basic principles of pediatric anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. Pharmacologic techniques and protocols for dental pediatric sedation will be discussed in detail, as well as the fundamentals of airway management and rescue. Finally, the seminar will discuss techniques and strategies to avoid sedation complications, and how the pediatric dentist can help their anesthesiologist manage an emergency situation.
