This lecture will provide a detailed review of the fascinating field of oral diagnosis in the pediatric and adolescent patient. Back to Basics is a seminar based on case-presentation format, that will cover in detail the most important issues in oral diagnosis that a pediatric dentist see in a busy practice. Radiation safety, principles of radiographic interpretation, common radiographic lesions, common soft tissue lesions, implications of systemic conditions in the practice of pediatric dentist, laboratory medicine in the pediatric patient, and the use of CBCT in pediatric dentist, are some examples of the topics that will be covered in the lecture. The lecture will follow a systematic approach based on the specific necessities of the cases that will be present.
