Everything the Pediatric Dentist Ever Needed to Know about Kids with Concussion and ADHD: Children with neurological disorders can present in any healthcare setting, including the pediatric dentist. Knowledge and preparation to respond is important. This presentation will address the issues that the clinician might face when working with children presenting with the common neurological conditions, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Concussion. This session will review typical brain development and our current understanding of these disorders underlying dysfunction, including pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and key manifestations in everyday environments. Strategies for management of these disorders will be discussed. A better understanding of concussions and ADHD will lead to more effective management of these children in practice.
