Success in Pediatric Dentistry requires that we develop the skills necessary to meet the everyday demands we face as Pediatric Dentists. Caries is the disease we are trained to prevent and treat and as we grow as practitioners, we each face the same daunting questions and challenges in trying to meet the needs of our patients. This is an exciting time for dentistry as advances in dental materials, and diagnostic technology is changing and creating new paradigms for caries treatment and prevention. This course will present some of the most challenging cases and scenarios we face as Pediatric Dentists. A detailed discussion and case presentation will highlight both mistakes and solutions on topics ranging from complicated restorative, acid erosion, eruption problems, periodontal diseases, trauma, pulp therapy, interceptive orthodontics, and CAD/CAM. At the end of the course, attendees will have a core set of practice scenarios, and treatment plans, they can use to implement any of the concepts presented in this course. It is the goal of this course to provide the participants with a lively discussion and presentation regarding the latest concepts in varying aspects of pediatric dentistry.
